May 2007 Progress Report

ariel.jpg

Thanks to Mike and Marv for the ariel shot.

The pool was dug this month.

DiggingPool.jpg DiggingPool2.jpg

Efren and Alejandro are perfectionists.

EfrenAndAle.jpg DiggingPool3.jpg

Efren brought in some special dirt
and the "thumper"...
(notice the correct term for the tool)
They compacted the soil.
Notice the "inspector" was right there... inspecting!!!

SusanSwimming1.jpg

I TOLD Susan she can't swim
until the pool is finished.

The "pool team" started with a coat of concrete
on the bottom to "stop" the moisture from the sea.

Now... the neighbors want to swim...
I TOLD Susan the word would
get out that she was swimming!!!

BlockingPool1.jpg Rebar1.jpg

The block frame is completed
and the rebar has started.

Efren started the water tank enclosure.
We are installing four 700 gallon
plastic tanks in this
concrete structure.

WaterTank1.jpg WaterTank2.jpg

The little section at the end
will be where the poolpump, filter
and propane pool heater will be installed.

Alejandro is continuing with
the scratch-coat and detailing.

ScratchCoat1.jpg ScratchCoat2.jpg

Notice how they "fling" the stucco
on the wall.

Lazaro continues on the lighthouse.

LightHouse3.jpg LightHouse2.jpg

Susan climbs the stairs daily.
Look at that "smile" on her face!!!

More construction-site tools...

Tools1.jpg Tools2.jpg

Susan supplies water to the "boys"...
She forgot cups...
Someone made a cup...WOW!!!
These are resourceful people!!!

Tools3.jpg Tools4.jpg
Scaffolding...WOW!!!

We polished up the boat...
Some "FRIENDS" wanted to go "boating".

We took them for a "ride" down
our little bumpy, dirt road.
Unfourtunally, they just couldn't
"hang-in-there-baby".

bees1.jpg beeTractor.jpg
A few wanted to "take-over" the tractor...
Remember...Every "BEE" wants a tractor!!!

Our friends Norm and Toni have
"GONE NORTH" for the summer.
They stay at Campo Naranjos.

These fantastic people fed Susan
EVERY EVENING ALL winter.

ToniGoodbye.jpg NormGoodbye.jpg

See you guys NEXT winter!!!

This project is continuing with the GREAT work of
Efren Hernandez
and his construction team.

Nolani... WAITING for Susan who is "swimming"!!!

We'll be back...
