March 2007 Progress Report
The concrete is mixed in a gas-powered mixer...
then
poured into a wheelbarrow...
then
Lifted to the roof one bucket at a time!!!
This is ALOT of work!!!
Two of the casitas have the concrete roofs poured.
The kitchen casita (middle unit)
is finished and the next casita
framed and ready to pour.
Take a look at some
on-site made
rebar hack-saws.
I'll bet you don't have
any of these in YOUR toolbox!!!
Finishing a roof is a
"milestone".
Alejandro has started the scratch coat in our casita.
Efren takes good care
of his hard working team
and they have a
"Work BBQ" (Carne Asada)
after a long day's "pour".
Soon there will be the
final
white color-coat
stucco.
Susan can't wait to paint!!!
The team is working on the

Local artists had an auction and art sale
It must have died of
"OLD AGE"
as she was complaining that she saw it a
couple of months ago but it
got away without capture.
at the Villa Maria RV Park.
About $2000 was raised for the "Old Folks Home"
Susan bought some nice looking napkin holders.
We had a little rear axel trouble
with the golf cart but...
Lee at KING CARTS really
came through for us AGAIN!!!
She even has time to dress the DOGS!!!
This project is continuing with the GREAT work of
Sorry John...the
"LOCAL ARTISTS"
got to the sign.
