December 2006 Progress Report
Things are moving right along...
It's alot cooler now on the Playa.
Highs only get to 85 degrees
and Lows drop
"way down"
to 65 degrees.
Susan is cold in the mornings.
We had to purchase a propane patio heater.
It was windy this week...
Do you think you could surf on these waves?
Our casita was the first to be filled and compacted with dirt.
Susan is measuring the casita to make sure
the furniture we purchased fits inside...
if it hadn't...
ouch!!!
Susan can't wait to move in.
We never realized what a skill it is
to assemble the rebar for the construction.
The long pieces are cut and molded into boxes.
All rebar is tied by hand.
These are the two tools used to bend the rebar.
Susan had a guest
"drop in".
He was under the roof-hatch cover.
When Susan opended the hatch for air circulation
he fell the 20 feet.
"That's too bad..."
While Susan was
"working"
in her Office.
To make it worse for this poor visitor,
she stepped on him in the bathroom.
The dogs got into the trash and
ate the tortillas she threw away.
They didn't have enough room for
desert.
